"Radha-Krishna": (IAST rādhā-kṛṣṇa, Sanskrit: राधा कृष्ण) is the combined form of the Hindu god Krishna with his chief consort and shakti Radha. They are regarded as the feminine as well as the masculine realities of God, in several Krishnaite traditions of Vaishnavism.
- In Hindu tradition, Radha and Krishna are avatars (divine incarnations) of Lakshmi and Vishnu, respectively. Their story unfolds in Vrindavan, where Krishna spends his childhood with cowherds and milkmaids, and Radha is the most prominent gopi. Their love is characterized by playful banter, artistic expression, and deep spiritual connection, but faces challenges due to societal expectations. Radha remains devoted, embodying pure love and yearning even in Krishna's absence.
- In several Krishnaite traditions of Vaishnavism, Radha-Krishna represents the feminine and masculine realities of God. Radha is mentioned as the feminine form of Krishna in the Narada Pancharatra Samhita. It is described that, the one single lord is represented to have become two - one a woman and the other a man. Krishna retains his form of man while the female form becomes Radha.
- Radha and Krishna are said to have taught us the importance of patience, sacrifice, and strength in love
